Annual Animal Walk
10 Elephants and a dozen Horses walked through the MIT Campus for Barnum and Bailey! And I got a clown nose! Sweet! (And the elephants held each others' tails!)

MIT Hack marks 50 years of NASA!

This was a Hack done on Wednesday. I saw it after coming out from my Chem Test in that building on the left.
Tests! I'm done for the week! Yay! I rocked my test last week, 100% in math. And I rocked my chem test this week, 91%. I just took a physics test and turned in my Ancient Greece paper. Next week is "PSet Week." I have 3 Psets and a test in Ancient Greece.
It doesn't stop! I just want a break!
But next weekend is a 3 day weekend, so that'll be nice.

SUPER STRESSFUL WEEK!
BAAAAH! I have 2 tests and a paper due this week. The paper is what's giving me the most grief. I wish I could just bs whatever (like most of my friends seem to be able to do) and not have to spend hours and hours revising.
And then the stupid tests. Bah. Chemistry and Physics. Both of which I feel pretty solid about, but not solid enough that I don't have to spend time studying. And that time I want to spend on my paper (but actually i don't want to spend any time on my paper. I hate my paper! I have nightmares about my paper turning into a mean little paper gremlin and chewing up all my electrical cords.)

So wish me luck! (people who probably aren't actually reading my blog. ever.)

Home for the Weekend Sep 19-22 2008
Basically, this weekend rocked. But before heading off to California (on the plane I had the whole row to myself!), we had to finish our PSets.
And you can see just how enthused we are about that.
I love areal pictures, so here are some pretty ones while leaving Boston.
And now, Douglas ensues to ham it up for the camera. (While I had several hundred Douglas pics to choose from, these are a few of my choice favorites)
We all tried not to get wet or cold.
And everyone obliged my incessant picture taking, even if that meant squinting into the sun for better lighting.
Wind chill.
The tarp.
Goin' to see the beautiful Nevada plains House.
(This is before we almost had to put a towel over Aunt Cathy to help with her car anxiety lol)

Mom's future sole mode of transportation!
I win!
I've wanted this shot for so long! I think the rocks are so pretty! And bonus: I'm sporting my Vista Sweatshirt!
Pre-wakeboarding. (Read: Pre-cold)
Post-cold.
Wakeboarding!
I'm so glad I got to go home this weekend. But now, this post has come full circle, because I have to go work on my PSets.

Day 1.5 Back in Cambridge
Slept in WAAAAAAAY late this morning! I woke up for a few minutes at a reasonable hour (9, 10?) looked out the window at the pouring rain and crawled back into bed for three hours. Yesterday, when I was napping, four men crammed into my room with 18 big boxes making all this noise. I stumbled out of my room all squinty-eyed with one eyebrow raised. To this, a man replied, "I can't believe MIT. You come into the room at one in the afternoon and you get treated like you're disturbing them in middle of the night. They love their sleep..." I went back into my room and shut the door. They delivered the boxes and left.
I am hoping, though, to get back on East Coast time as soon as possible. It's harder to adjust to a forward time change because it's so easy to stay up late and sleep in. When I go back to California, though, I want to stay up so I fight the jet lag that tells me to go to sleep at 8:30 p.m. and I adjust a lot quicker.
Tomorrow we're going on the Ferry over to Provincetown on the Cape, so that should be wonderful! I hope we take a few pictures!

Baker i3 2008
Here is the video I worked on as an apprentice for my dorm's packet to get Freshman to want to live at Baker.
Barbie: The First Movie
Anna and I made this when we were 9 or 10 years old! It could totally be a cult classic: it makes no sense, has interesting cinematography and music choices, and you can read a lot into it, but what you interpret may or may not be there...

Video #1
This is one of the first films I ever made, and it is also the only video I have ever done completely by myself...aaaand, it's actually pretty awful. Haha. Hopefully some of it seems satiric. A project for English Literature in high school, here is "Lord Jim:"
